The Libraries of Stevens County Foundation, is a recognized 501c3, non-profit organization. Library foundations provide opportunities for an array of revenue sources to supplement tax support. They provide a structure for people to show appreciation for and support of extended library services. The library gains support for needed projects and the foundation achieves its goal of providing additional resources to the library.
Foundations offer a way to accept cash, bequests, trusts and other types of donations. Foundation contributions can be made with the understanding that the donations will be used for a specific library or project, or contributions can be given to the general fund for projects that the Foundation board prioritizes. Donations to the Foundation can be pooled for stronger investment opportunities.
